We are the couple working for fisheries in the fish village named Omoe, Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. We love fish and sea, so our peasere is that many peple can enjoy and experience fishing and fishermen's life in our area. The our accomodation offers those experiences.
In Japan, generally speaking, there are a lot of problems about fisheries considering to the amounts of fish, successors and ocean environment (grobal warming). But, accutually, the fish village is full of brightness and power. Let's find the world of the fishermen! It is happy to experience many things together to realize the fish village that will heve run for 100 years.
Accommodation
Nagisa-haku (fish village staying) Umi no Miyako offers Accommodation from one night to 2 months. Please make your plans of the shourt or long term stay.
Our accommodation is located in Omoe, Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, kind of far away from the downtown of the city, but it's a very good rural area that is quiet and near the sea and has the plentiful nature.

You will stay in Japanese style (tatami) rooms.
Meal
We are offering the dinner using seasonal and local ingredients as much as possible.
Especially, the seafood is caught in Omoe, if not enough, we will preparing from other area of Miyako City or Yamada Town (next to Miyako City).
There are bacically rice, soup, main dish (Sashimi etc.) and a couple of side dishes for dinner.
The rice is made in Osyu City, Iwate.
Tow or Tree kinds of Sashimi will be seasonal.
If you have any food allegie, please iet us know.
Especially, the seafood is caught in Omoe, if not enough, we will preparing from other area of Miyako City or Yamada Town (next to Miyako City).

The sinple tent cite is available as well.
There are space for tow solo tents.
The ground is covered with small stones.
You can use restroom and water supply outside of the accommodation.
If you would like, we can prepare for the dinner (runch box/ Bento) and small meals (rice balls or sandwiches).

Fisheries Experience
We are making the oppotunities for you to experience fisheries of our fish village. If you would like to join it, you can.
The fee will be 1,100 yen for an experience.
**If you would like to eat sea urchin, extra cost (300 yen/ piece) is needed.
It is difficult to take you to the sea because of strict restriction, but you can experience the same taskes as the locel fishers in the land.
The experiences are totally up to the weather condition, so please make sure that it can be suddenlly canceled.

We have a dog, she doesn't enter guest rooms, but please consider that you can stay or not if you have dog allegie.
